I said that CL was of such stature because you implied that it wasn't better than 36 Chambers in a very condescending manner, as if you thought its a bad album, though here you say its excellent. You should be able to respect a reasonable opinion without ridiculing it because it isn't a clone of your own. This Message Edited On 12.09.08This Message Edited On 12.09.08

what, when I said 'leave your username at the door'?
If so, that was directed towards "The songwriting on The W, Iron Flag, Collective and Think Differently is so superior to this it doesn't even come close to being funny. "

I'd have to say Liquid Swords is probably the best solo project to date, with Cuban Linx in a close second.
couldn't agree more
i seriously do not understand how you really think this isn't as good as their other albums ...

and cuban linx sucks bro

True, true. But I wasn't attacking his reasonable opinion, I was simply retaliating which I shouldn't have done anyway. And Cuban Linx > probably anything you will listen to today.
|

well no because today i listened to liquid swords which is marginally better

Liquid Swords.

Liquid Swords is mad good but it has the same problem as this record; songs are a little too long and it gets pretty boring at times. GZA is Wu's best lyricist though.

Heyseuss! If you want catchy beats & hooks, go listen to Ace Hood!
The very fact that you consider Iron Flag & Only Built 4 Cuban Linx to be better than Liquid Swords and this album is a travesty against humankind. This review should be disregarded.

or maybe it's his opinion and you shouldn't be such a faggot.
you're on the fact that he's wrong though.

Catchy beats and hooks? I never asked for that, I would appreciate it if this album wasn't so redundant and mind-numbingly boring at times. Iron Flag's lyrics aren't up to par with this but it flows like a traditional Wu album and it feels more natural to the group's style. Cuban Linx is just a masterpiece of rap, this is simply not.

As Commortus says, your opinion really is flawed if you think Cuban Linx and Iron Flag are better than this and Liquid Swords.
I'm pretty sure the beats aren't as catchy on here because RZA wanted to pull them back and let the member's vocals/flow take center stage.

An opinion cannot be 'flawed' if its backed by reasonable argument. If I said...'Iron Flag is leagues ahead of Chambers because Chambers sucks!' then yes, my opinion would be flawed. The only flawed opinion in this thread is the one that believes I am in the wrong simply because of the rating; the people criticizing me seem to believe that everybody on this planet is in intimate love with this album when frankly, that is hardly true.

I sleep with this album under my pillow every night.
I agree about your opinion not being flawed to the extent you stated though.
