Fun album, this band has gone downhill recently, but I'm still glad that this album gets some appreciation, 'Modern Way' is by far the best song they have done.
Also great review, probably one of the best I have seen from you Davey, keep up the good work.

Just got it this afternoon, man.
Not sure what to make of it yet, but I've got a really good feeling about it. Already I like it more than Infinity.

Do you reckon they underused Elvis Costello? I would have loved to see him do something more that just sing two bars.

It's just that Patrick has gone on record as saying Elvis Costello is his hero, and he's a massive fan.
If I got MY hero to record with me, I'd give him a lot more than a couple of bars of some other song.

Probably had better things to do.

I guess, but I was still a little disappointed.
Are you going to review it, Chan?

the relevancy of this discussion is that dave(yboy) will inevitably review that album 6 years from now

Great review for a pretty good album. I was going to review their new one, but won't bother if your rating is the same.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the review Spamue1. Like you say, the strange analogies do tend to fit the Kaiser Chiefs cheeky style.
"Good review, hate the band". Good quote Robin. Oh well, I figure if I can hold the interest of a reader on a band they don't like, then I'm doing something right.
I was waiting for the lyrics to kick in. Although I'm still partial to "Na na na naa" myself.
Thanks for the huge kudos on this review Ross. Is it my best? I don't know, but I know that some readers like it when I keep my reviews shorter (which is rare).
Thanks Ali... My review of 'Off With Their Heads' will hit news-stands next weekend.

I like this KC album, but the ones after it kind of lost my interest. Good review as well.

Thanks guys. I don't think you're the only one that feels that way about the 3 albums from these guys PhantomLimb.
As for this review flowing better Ross, yeah maybe. I still think it may be to do with the shorter length, but who knows... It may be those silly analogies.

Now what's all this talk about the new Fall Out Boy album in a Kaiser Chiefs review? When does the album come out and is there any chance that Atavan's review will trump Chan's?
And LOL at your comment about it being better than 'Infinity On High' DavID. I could have told you that and I haven't even heard the new album

Davey: Yeah, probably has something to do with the length, anyway I liked it, lets just stick at that. Anyway, what you got lined up next in the review pipeline (after of course you've done the next two Kaiser Chief albums) anything non-British?
