Jesus, IV was butchered. Maybe I just need to listen to it a bit more. But that's a first impression. They butchered what I consider a perfect song.

I feel they really tried to do something different and progressive with this release because they needed to differentiate this from the original EP. Thomas has improved his voice, but i guess the change in style will turn a lot of people off.

tFoT have always struck me as a gimmicky band. The riffs are jaw dropping and knowing that he does it live while singing is very
cool but their songs have always been lacking in the... I don't know how exactly to describe it... heart or soul department? Once
the flair of the gimmick wares out the songs seem hollow. I've never felt any strong emotional attachment to any of their songs
like I have with other bands.

It's not bad. Some ambient parts sound pretty bad, and I agree that the bass could be a tad higher in the mix.
