Is there really a difference between hardcore and post-hardcore? You seem like you know all this stuff.
| | | I had to comment after seeing the indignation created by people calling The Used Emo. I know the likes of John A. Hanson want the correct definition of his precious Emo back but don't ruin and drag through the mud another genre in exchanged because The Used arent Pop Punk. So don't label them that when they clearly aren't. I know emo people hate that Emo has lost its true meaning in the perception of most but obfuscating another genre to clear up yours is just counterintuitive and ironic. Just label The Used what they really are a band that wants to be Emo but trys to play Pop Punk and fails at both.

So basically, half of us think the Used are Emo, the other half says Pop Punk, and half of you think that either way, it sucks.
| | | No, pretty much you think the Used are emo.
It's okay, you're Italian and you're young. You probably haven't been exposed to the correct definition of emo.

Italian??? I live in Italy, that's pretty much it. Young, yes I'm probably the youngest on this site. The "Emo" that i've been exposed to is the obnoxious, whiney, over-emotional crap that too many messed-up kids listen to. All the really good emo, like that one French band, I can't even find.
btw, Snackary thinks this is Emo too. Either that or he's being sarcastic.
| | | Who cares what the fuck it is.

And to a lesser extent, Orchid
