You do realize you can rate albums 3.5...right?

I was talking about another album (Severed Savior), not this.

fredrik thordendal's special defects - sol niger within does not sound anything like faceless IMO

idiot

Rasputin is right. This album isn't...enough to truly stand out amongst some better acts. A 2.5 makes sense, though I'd probably give it a 3.5 or if generous, a 4.

Leading Vision is an INCREDIBLE album and Neurotipsticks is pretty good too. Not sure...I do feel a lot of "worship" on this album, as stated in the review.

Quite honestly, I enjoy Noctambulant by Spawn of Posession more than this, but that isn't this say this album doesn't have it's highlights or anything of the sort, it's still a pretty good album. XenoChrist is probably my favorite as well and when the band actually breaks out some black metal influences it's pretty great.

However...it does feel short (it is) and it lacks enough dynamic to really "last." I could listen to it a lot, but in terms of redeeming features...there aren't a ton aside some interesting prog like soloing.

Too many of these songs blend into each other, and this is after like 6 or 7 listens. On Akeledama I could tell them apart from the start. That's one of the issues I'm having with rating this higher than 3.5.

lol at all the new users coming on here because of this album and getting pissed at Rasputin for giving it a 2.5, then calling him an idiot for it.
