does anyone know if this is any good?

Wizard = Great music rec's.

There isn't anything in existence that Swano has touched that is bad.

I'm beginning to discover this.

great review karl, i agree that the keys and synths make this album.

quite an eclectic sound. the harsh vocals combined with the key/synth driven prog-metal/rock. works especially well in patchworks, add reality and in empty phrases. but there's this one middle section in uncreation, i don't know what swanö did there but it's just gorgeous. probably my fav off this too.

Well, well, I haven't seen you around here for ages. Nice to see you back.

And that middle part in 'Uncreation' is one of my favourite parts off the album too (the part where he lets the notes ring out quite a bit if I'm not mistaken).

i just couldn't resist giving my admiration for some albums i've been following up on, this included. but i'm always kinda 'watching' lol but as of late it has been a little less interesting (site design maybe) than usual on sputnik.

and yes it's that part, not to mention the solo; very tasteful. as i said, one of my favorite songs along with patchworks (oh that lead piece!), add reality and the closing song.

I hear you on that Dirty. Too many short term users are kind of ruining it for me. I need some more dedicated users, interested in talking about new/ old metal. Any chance you will ever push out a review?

And add to your list of songs 'Encounterparts'. One of the best instrumentals I've ever come across.

btw have you heard that album? it's like meshuggah with black metal-like vocals and more jazz fusion soloing

Obliterhate. It's a super group with some ex guy from Dying Fetus, some guy from Possessed writing the lyrics, Dan Swano, Mirai from Sigh, and a guy from an Asian metal band I believe. Should be epic.

The synths are the best part guys. Don't go into this expecting full-on, brutal death metal. This is for the prog geeks.
