I say screw what all you people think about this and in through the out door. I think it's all great.

Prescence is great. And while they may not have shat out hits like on the first four albums , the playing is skillful and there's loads of emotion througout.

Sick wild and twisted has a point. I mean, "Trampled Underfoot" and "The Lemon Song" sound exactly alike.

This album is complete meh. A lackluster effort by Zeppelin standards, to be sure. The opener, Nobody's Fault But Mine, and the closer waste almost 30 minutes worth of space alone. And those songs just go on, and on, and on. FOREVER, it seems. Just a boring record. This Message Edited On 04.20.06

I disagree, the only poor tracks I feel are Tea for One and Royal Orleans.

^^Even that would leave just five good tracks total. Hardly even constitutes an "album" if you look at it that way :-. And being that one of them is NFBM doesn't help matters....This Message Edited On 04.23.06

I'd rather have five tracks by Zeppelin than 12 tracks off any modern Rock album, Jimmy and co can get away with it.

Agreed. Tea For One could have been great with that bad ass intro, but they had to go all "Since I've Been Loving You".

I believe this to be Led Zeppelin's most underrated albums. It is not their best composition, or listening wise, but it deserves much more respect. This is actually my second favorite LZ album.

P.S. Besides all those Led Zeppelin "wanna be" fans (who just wear the shirts as a trend) have never heard of this album, so it isn't defiled by their unworthiness!

Achillies last Stand and Nobody's fault but mine are awesome awesome AWESOME songs, but I have never been that comfortable with this alubm-but I haven't heard it for a while. from memory this ablum doesn't have the flow that the other zep ablums-even In through The Out Door. But I will update this review once I rebuy this album just to see if I have a new found appreciation for itThis Message Edited On 06.01.06

I have completely changed my mind. I do like this album, not up there with LZ, LZ II, LZ III, LZ IV, HOTH or PG, but I have a new found closeness to this album that didn't exist before. I still find the flow a bit fucked up but I like and enjoy it a lot more then I did the first time I heard it (past Achillies but). I do like this album and while my current rating for it (4.5) might be a bit higher then I really think, right now I dig it and am happy I can dig it at least for now and once in my life.

It's defninitly an album that takes patience to listen to. Eventually it grows on people, but the first time is rough.

This album gets worse everytime I listen to it. I think "Achilles last stand" is Zeppelins best effort after "Stairway" I find most of the tracks on this album to be uninspired and generic.

Yep. I rate all of their previous 6 albums 4.5 and 5, this one however falls short, the redeeming tracks are "Achilles last stand" and "Nobodies fault but mine" this album would be good if they just had those two tracks.
I really can't bring myself to rate anything from Zeppelin badly, its all good, but if you compare thier latter works the their earlier stuff you get dissapointed.
