Guilty pleasure. BIGTIME.

Guilty pleasure?
Really?
Lordy. Not a classic I don't think, but definitely worth buying and getting into. Let it grow on you, especially if your used to the (in my opinion superior) 'classic' U2 sound

| |
Guilty because I'm not supposed to like it...I'm a metalhead. Plus, it was my first CD ever.
|
| |
That beats most people's first CDs ever. I now think this is U2's best album, actually. The rest of their '90s style music wasn't particularly good, but if they'd made more stuff like this, then they'd have been really impressive all through the decade.

Uh, Med...can you help me with something? I created a new account and when I attempt to post on Sputnik it says I am not registered on MusicianForums. When I try to post on the Forums, it says that the administrator has disabled my account. Could you like....activate it? I'm a n00b at this.

Haha it's great to see your progression as a reviewer. This was.... yeah.
A piece of shit?

Until The End of The World... a classic, written bout the conversation between Jesus and Judas.
one of U2's best written lyrics.

YES. It's someone else's favourite too. It's such a great, underrated song.
This is one of the best albums of the 90's, and one of U2's very best. Every track is great.

Achtung (how d'you pronounce that?) Baby is a great album. i'm still debating whether or not it's better than the joshua tree...
bono does a great job on this album.

Zoo Station is worthless but Acrobat is the most underrated U2 song ever!

The Fly - im pretty sure it was The Edge who sang the back up high pitch voice in the chorus , not Bono, i could be wrong, Bono could have been the one who sang it on the studio recordings but everytime they play The Fly Live, the Edge is always the one who does the high pitchThis Message Edited On 06.11.06

"Achtung Baby" is a true masterpiece. Acrobat kicks ass!!!

The best song in this album was The Fly and i am now positive that the high pitch voice in the chorus was The Edge not Bono.
|
| |
no, i'm pretty sure that bono sang that. just because edge sings it in concert doesn't mean he did it in the studio. listening to a lot of U2 has made me discover that when these two men sing high it does sometimes sound very alike. plus the fly isn't the best song on the album, acrobat is. 'course thats just my opinion.

It might even be Daniel Lanois on backing for 'The Fly', he came out in a Zoo TV performance singing 'I Still Haven't Found.....' with a very similar vocal. Though i suspect it's nobo. And no way to Patrick, 'Zoo Station' is a great, particularly as Zoo TV's opener but also as a very unique-sounding U2 song (the building block of Achtung Baby).

"so cruel" makes me laugh everytime, apart from that this is my favourite U2 album by far

This album would be a 5 if not for the awful production.
