there's sort of the atmosphere from Isis and the Neurosis "tribal" drumming here, along with whatever they brought on from Void which had some metalcore Celestial stuff going on. hence why people think this is "post-metal".

well yeah. post-metal doesn't mean strictly Panopticon, Salvation, and Eye of Every Storm. It's also Celestial, The Beyond, and Enemy of the Sun.

yeah this album is nice and dirty. talking about swimming in dead skin and whatnot.
and yes, it seems like a lot of the time these guys are categorized as post metal. I mean, I see it a verrrry little bit I guess but there is so much else to them I almost think that association shouldn't even be made.
