I agree, their alot more solid on this album. Especially the drums which I thought stood out the most. The songwriting is slowly getting there.

Their best, only narrowly beats out Ascendancy. They're getting there, but the next one needs to be spectacular if they're to hold my interest in the future

I would say I am a medium-high level user. I only made this account in september last year but I've had a coupleof accounts and been lurking for about 2 years.
Anywhoooooo on topic, there are some middle eastern feels because of the scales used. Phrygian I think. Perfect to mix in with the Greek mythology and Japanese album title. Ha!
