"We could go into town and spend some money

we could go to the pictures, go and see something funny

share a popcorn and when it's finished we could go to the pub at night

and get right pissed and go home and have a fight"

no one does crippling misery quite like the scots

Been reading Marabou Stork Nightmares, only got a few pages left. This album goes very nicely with it.

I can't possibly put something as engaging as this on when I read. I need complete silence for reading.

I don't listen to music when reading either, just saying this creates a similar atmosphere to MSN.

Oh I gotcha, never heard of that one. I'm in the middle of reading the first Song Of Fire And Ice book. Though I already know the gist of what happens, it's such an incredibly satisfying read.

I really need to jam this already

Nice Mongi, just know that if you've seen the series, the first book is nearly identical to the first season so don't expect any surprises if you have watched. However the differences become pretty huge by the latest books.

Oh yea I know, that's why I said I know the gist. It's just so impressive and admirable how he creates this world.

And yes Talons, you do. It's very unique.

I'll read the SOFAI books at some point, just need to plan ahead a bit.

You'd most likely love it Ben.

The band are funny as fuck in fairness. 'Blur are shite' t-shirts. I'd give me right arm for one of them bad boys.

they've got a great sense of humour, which they'd need to counter the music they're making

Another classic Scottish band who shook it up were the Beta Band. I remember them deliberately making outrageous claims to the press for the fuck of it. "Nicky Wire is hung like a door mouse" and stuff like that.
