and ex-cowboy. and helps both ways. and christmas steps. and happiness. the only problem i have with cody is that too many of the songs go on for too long, especially chocky.

and as huge a mogwai fanboy as i am, i gotta admit that, bar a few tracks, adam's right.

downer this will click for you eventually. i'm sure.

i used to convince myself i didnt like mogwai after hearing various stories about them hating blur or something. but really im guessing the only reason i didn't like them/maybe ec doesnt like them is because of hearing something like EITS beforehand.

yeah i think they have might have issues with blur. i would have loved that t shirt though, and i don't even have an issue with blur. but i don't really get that, mogwai are 10 times better than EITS, and i like EITS. i mean even with this debut, way before post rock started getting big, there isnt a huge amount of typical quiet/loud/quiet formula. tracy and r u still in 2 it are two of my all time favourite songs and they're settled the whole way through.

robin i'm pretty sure, almost certain, that you'll fall in love with this eventually. especially tracks like mfs, tracy and r u still in 2 it.

i didn't really mean who was better than who, more that after listening to a bundle of post rock in the vein of EITS and then coming to mogwai like i did it's sort of listening in reverse and becomes less appealing. not because it's worse, just similar.

I love With Portfolio, I think it's one of the highlights of the album. It's the best example of how they draw emotions out of you; teasing you with anger and then suddenly calming you back down with R U Still in 2 It. I almost feel violated when I listen to it, but it's so powerful.
