But yes, its definitely time to move on to something new. Its fine to like Slayer but to keep holding on to Slayer and other bands like that as "favorites" is kind of weird to me. People always make the argument "THEY CHANGED THE FACE OF MUSIC!!!" and while I make no argument there, it just seems to me that if somebody changes the way music is looked at, and other bands are able to build on that and make it better, why not listen to those bands that have built upon the sound and made it better?

I have a personal connection to a few older bands to, but it seems like most people are so focused on the fact that said band was revolutionary and groundbreaking, that they become completely close minded to newer things...

Silent Scream is the only Slayer song i listen too anymore. I still love Tom Araya, he seems like a nice guy but the band...nah.
