A lot of the hate of this album seems to have been generated by the fact that it's Daron's album. Death of Author people, ignore who wrote the album and what their history is and just listen to the music.
Another thing... the reviewer seems to dislike the music because it doesn't sound like SOAD. Yeah, good job.

man frig you. I talked about the music a lot, how it was simple, repetitive and boring. Maybe, i dunno read the review.

Dude, it has nothing to do with it being Daron's album. This cd is just piss poor...don't use that homosexual argument of "just listen to the music, and stop being so cynical blah blah blah." The cd fucking sucks.

Listened to this again recently. It's not bad, it's fun to revisit once a while and for the majority has decent songs. Actually this is more fun than most of the albums marked as Classic on this site. Something about the toxic sound of it...
And I don't care what you think.

I love System Of A Down. I think Daron's great. This album is just shit. It is fucking awful, the only decent song is "They Say". Good review. I'm glad I didn't pay for this shit.
Also, AHIG is great. Way better than this.

my favourite System albums were Mez/Hyp, the 2 that daron had the most imput on, yet I can't believe I bought this heap of crap! a few great songs, but really, only about 10 minutes of this is worth hearing.This Message Edited On 03.17.09

Mostly agreed, I was told that this was supposed to sound more like System of a Down than Serj's solo record...was very disappointed upon listening to it.
