i kinda wish aaron didn't leave this band. disambiguation was kinda boring without him. even though aaron wasn't the only reason

I'm kinda torn on that subject. I thought he had a great voice and was a really talented drummer so I missed him for that, but at the same time I think Spencer did a fucking great job on the cleans and Davison did a great job on the drums. Plus, there's the fact that Aaron's lyrics were really immature and stupid and without him in the band Spencer wrote some of his best material yet.

I personally enjoy every single album underoath has released

But this and DTGL are better

Spencer is a great vocalist agreed. I really enjoyed how on this album aaron and spencer balance out so well. He left and the band abandoned their poppier side for the most part which was something that i really loved from this band. disambiguation had a couple of good songs but i felt for the most part like it was missing something

Yeah I agree that Disambiguation was missing something but I don't think it was their pop influence, I was fine with them abandoning that. I wish they'd done more songs like "Driftwood" though I loved that one.
|
| |
for me it's definitely the pop and something else that i can't quite put my finger on. it would have been cooler for me if they went way experimental. I actually think driftwood is pretty cool but i think it's everyone else's least favorite

Yeah I dunno why people discard Driftwood, an album that experimented more in that direction would've been superior to the actual Disambiguation imo

Fuck yeah agreed

It's taken me too long to check this out considering Disambiguation is one of my favourite albums of the past few years
|
| |
I haven't checked this album or Disam yet. Is this like DTGL part II?

more bass is the first thing I notice. this sounds like a less refined disambiguation. still pretty good though

This has the best atmosphere of all their albums

this shits on disambiguation

Album Rating: 5.0
Yep and so does DTGL
All three fucking rule though

Album Rating: 3.5
disambiguation is by far their best but I can see this maybe becoming my 2nd favourite after dtgl

Disambig always felt like it was holding back for me
They should've gone full on experimental and made an album full of songs like Driftwood but they didn't

I do really like that song and Paper Lung is probably the best one on the album but I just love the
tone they have on it. The guitars and spencer's screams sound insane, like a storm or something. DTGL
always felt really inconsistent and in-cohesive to me, although In Regards To Myself and To Whom It
May Concern are amazing
