lol I was on the wrong page, if we're talking about the same thing.
So I changed my 'No' for something else.

Rien du tout. Forget it man :P

And out of everything else you've ever said on this site that's what got you stung? Gay Cowboy was an alt anyway, from a regular user as well.
The funniest part is that there were people saying far more offensive things in that thread, but because the user who complained named me and Dryden which lead to both of us being banned and having our comments removed. I literally don't get how users who don't contribute anything are able to sway the mods so much, it's fucking ridiculous.

Yeah, I can kinda see why ya got banned though, when ya start making comments about someone's sexuality (not just you per se, but anyone), but the removal of all your comments is somewhat absurd.

Meh, that's an inhibition of free speech IMO, not to mention that terms like fag, gay, etc. more or less have replaced terms like stupid in contemporary langauge.

I doubt the mods would've cared if no one had reported it. Guess they assume that when someone runs to the forums to complain, that someone's actually been offended by it.

So moving along, this new mix wasn't needed imo.

Nothing? Hardly.

This is way too polished for its own good. I agree that this wasn't needed. Contrary to this the drums on the original seem to overpower everything else at times but it doesn't take away anything cos they sounded cooler on that recording. Also, somehow I like the guitar sound better on the first one, especially the thudding in Spasm; that's just fucked.

I own both versions of "Nothing".
The sound enhancement at first seems subtle, but listen to this WITH HEADPHONES...
i love this band.

Listening to something with headphones doesn't always enhance your perception.
But to be honest, recording Nothing made sense; the guitars on the original sounded flat and muddy. Their custom made 8 stings were easily the best investment they ever made.

Terrible review. Fantastic album. The fact that you listed Rational Gaze as one of the "turn-off" songs says a lot about this review.

Incredibly terrible review. This is probably my favorite Meshuggah album.
The rerecording was necessary to give it a more complete sound. The drums got pushed back a bit, yes, but not enough to make it a terrible idea. The guitar was the new thing that they wanted to promote, and the central focus anyway. Album owns.
