That's cool man, I wasn't really having a go as such. Anyway I personally thought this album dragged a bit too much.

his drumming is great

^^ lol he's a down diggity crack-a-lackin fine drummer

Maybe I was a bit harsh, I think overrated is more appropriate. I saw him do his upside down drum solo trick and I was quite impressed with his double pedal work. Other than that, he was pretty boring for the most part.

Personally I think he is a really talented drummer but he can't write interesting drum beats etc

Good review, but I disagree with a two items.

First, the "unnecessary" introduction tracks. I think they've been very good at setting the atmosphere for the albums (Vol 3's Prelude 3.0 was a song in itself, decent one as well). Secondly, not all the solos here in the Slayer mould, just look at Root's solo on Psychosocial - it's hummable dammit!

But yeah, you've hit the nail on the head with the review, especially with the Stone Sour mentions. This Message Edited On 08.28.08

Album Rating: 3.0 | Sound Off

Prelude 3.0 worked well, (515), 742617000027 (were just dumb) and this one just seems to not do much really. It's good in the fact its a preliminary insight into the album's sound however, but still not really necessary.

Secondly, the dissonant soloing has more or less been dropped here, but as mentioned it's doubtful that they would have engaged in them without Rubin (who is of course Slayer's producer). Quoting Mick who said "one day he just said, why don't you put a Slayer sounding solo in there or something? We were stoked to do so" something like that. Most of the singles they have embarked on use simple hum solos, but still offer something different from their two first albums.

A accomplished and exemplary review displaying the depths of the album in a most detailed general fashion without consulting to a song by song review.

Even though it might be imperceptibly awkward or gawky at some points it percepts words through a very premeditated and valid opinion.

It reminds me of Ali's Death Magnetic review.

I hope SonicTheplumber was kidding because he may be mistaken.
