It's not that Dookie is a bad album, I just don't think that it's as good as Insomniac.

this is a grand punk rock album that totally smashes american idiot. this album actually has good lyrics, music, and just a good feel to it. i'd like to see those sell out 30-something men try to make another album like this

This album is still pretty good. I hardly ever listen to it though.

Very good review, Eliminator. Best Green Day album, IMO, i love the first 8 songs. I feel that this might be getting old though....that's why i don't like listening to it too often. But an occasion play wouldn't hurt, it's not gonna get old too fast i don't think.

yer Dookie is when Green Day rellie became big. I think this is their best album and is so much betta than American Idiot. It's a lot more raw and theres more emotion and it's more about wot they feel rather than wot they're saying.

I just listened to hits at my friends house. I thought it was really good, but thats probably because I haven't listened to it in a long time.

Dookie is far more commercial and easier to get into for people who are into the more pop elements of Green Day, (I'm guessing thats why you preferred Dookie, because MCR's new album is the same), but Insomniac is by far my favourite album.

Excellent review, I got Dookie today and it is a brilliant album. Agreed, it's not as good as Insomniac, I dont think Green Day will ever outdo Insomniac, but some of Green Day's best songs in my opinion are on here (Welcome to Paradise, Coming Clean, Chump to name a few). I'm pretty glad that my Dookie is one of the ones with Ernie from Sesame Street on heh :D
