i remember being in 8th grade somehow finding meaning in those lyrics haha...great album...but for some reason i find happiness and dtbm II more consistent as whole albums...and even then this is more memorable then happiness and dtbm II is better then both...shweeeet

People You Know is an amazing song! Just because you're stuck up and don't like Jon Mess' scream doesn't mean you have to say that it's the worst song on the album. I definitely felt like it was the best song on the album because Mess is extremely pissed off and I'm pretty sure he is talking about Jonny in this song. Mess shows so much emotion in this song. This song is one of the few songs on the album that actually have meaning. He might curse a lot, but who cares? He is trying to get a point across to the listener. It's not a fucking gospel cd so it shouldn't matter how much he curses. I personally don't care for this cd that much except for a few select songs but People You Know is one of the best songs I've ever heard!.. Except for the ending. That part is really weird haha

The song is alright other than the part where Mess screams.

"Just because you're stuck up and don't like Jon Mess' scream doesn't mean you have to say that it's the worst song on the album."
Yes, good sir. You are correct in the fact that different musical tastes obviously stem from bloated egos. Hats off to ye!
I have a feeling that this album was a bad place to start listening to these guys. But hey, a friend provided it for free, so how could I refuse?

lol, uneasy hearts is one of the worst songs they've ever written.
this album is really hit-or-miss with me. DGD have always had questionable lyrics but some of the songs on here just go a little overboard in terms of shit songwriting. when this album is at its best, though, it's REALLY fucking good.

I do agree that this album did have a little too much Mess in it, but still a decent album.
@Omaha
Listen to Downtown Battle Mountain 1. Much better place to start off with this band. Not as much Mess and MUCH better clean vocals

Amazing album. Ha the hidden track on people you know is pretty cool. Just wish kurt's voice wasn't all pitch shifted.

I love the vocals because they fit the style of music DGD has. They sound dirty and spontaneous, Jon Mess' vocals were exactly what this album needed. Just my opinion. The guitar is superb and the guests added their own flavor to their songs.
