Although Johnny is not in the band any more, i think their new CD is absolutely outstanding. This might be one of their best Cd's yet. I miss Johnny in the band, but Travis does do a pretty swell job being the lead singer. Overall Guitar solos are awesome as always. I like how that the songs dont really stop when they go into the next track, So its like the CD is one whole song. "Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most" is such an amazing song on this Cd, i love the beginning. To tell the truth i didn't have much faith in Dance Gavin Dance after Johnny left (don't get me wrong they were still my favorite band) But i didn't know what they were going to do with out a lead singer. But they came up strong with out him and found another great voice for the group. I hope they keep making great music and i cannot wait until they come to my town ;).

This album is awesome and the swearing makes it even better. Not saying that swearing is cool, but there are alot of people who listen to DGD and need that emotion. I'm glad they incorperated it, it gives it a more realistic feel when talking about alcohol and sex. read the lyrics

i can't even tell when any of the guest vocalists come in other then Chino, the other 2 kinda sound like kurt to me......

and i agree with reviewer man, the guest vocal tracks are worse, althought that little segment in rock solid is possibly the funniest thing i ever heard in a post-hardcore(?) album. i think those two are in love

This album...holy shit..."Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most" is probably the best song I've heard since Say Anything's "A Walk Through Hell". Dance Gavin Dance puts me in a trance. The screaming is like the devil on my shoulder, and the singing is the angel

The new singer isn't as good as the last one (everyone should check him out in Emarosa), the skit or whatever in Rock Solid makes me want to inflict physical damage to myself, the screaming is the same at all times and gets annoying, and the lyrics are horrendous at best. BUT the music is amazing and the new singer Kurt is decent enough that i can enjoy a few tracks off of this album.

Maybe my favorite album of all time. I actually bought the CD and I have Zune so I don't need to buy CDs. LOL it has been in my car since I bought it and People You Know is the greatest song of all time in my opinion, and I have 17,000 songs on my computer

I think the band lost something very original when Johnny left. His voice is unlike anyone's I have ever heard. It feels like he is using so much emotion when he is singing. Kurt is still OK though. And all of the songs are great listens.

i saw these guys a little over 2 years ago and they were great live. tons of energy and just great stage presence overall. i really enjoyed downtown battle mountain and whatever i say is royal ocean. but wow i cant even listen to this album. the lyrics are horrendous. when you feel the need to swear like its cool you come out sounding unintelligent. its a shame too because the music still has that groove that ive always liked about dgd but kurt tries to act "sexy" with his singing and its awfully irritating. and the screamer has always been bad, he has zero range. he was just offset by johnny. overall great music, but terrible, absolutely terrible vocals and lyrics.

i think it's a great album. slightly weird because one of my best friends is called alex english, which is why i decided to listen to this album in the first place.

highlights are uneasy hearts way the most and hot water on wool + reprise.

although, it does sound a lot like circa survive in some places..This Message Edited On 04.04.09

I gave this a chance tonight. Well, I listened to the stuff they have on their MySpace from this album. Those are some great clean vocals, some neat musicianship, but the harsh vocals are really offputting. They're really prosaic.
