I agree with you that this is a complete 180 from DBL and I do understand the studio turmoil the band went through. That being said I think you let the opinion of Andrew influence you way to much. Ok fine, he doesn't like the album but how can you call it their most artistic and creative album but at the same time calling it the worst, citing that it's boring. You're on both sides of the spectrum and you're never really clear on what you think. This is maddening.

Didn't care to finish the sentence about it being "artistic"?
while possibly being the band's "most artistic" effort (in that it's a concept album), the musical aspect is quite underwhelming.
The rest of the review explains why.

This isnt there best album, but it is in no way a bad album or better than the rest will follow which had ONE good song on it

And the Rest Will Follow is their best, then Drawing Black Lines and STBYBB.

I like this album, I don't really agree with your conclusion, though you do make your case well. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I think that they're just as vicious in this album as any, maybe a bit more generic on the whole, but it's really not that bad imo.

IMO this is one of their best albums. It came from such an interesting point in their career and such an interesting headspace that Schwab was in. And c'mon, Little Green Men is such a jam

I enjoy this album, maybe a bit more since the story is one I can relate to in some ways.

Truthless Heroes is an odd misstep between Drawing Black Lines, Songs to Burn Your Bridges To, and ...And The Rest Will Follow, but it isn't their worst album.

Nothing else touches Drawing Black Lines.

Burn Your Bridges is close, but yeah

This album has so far correctly predicted the entire 21st Century
