idk this could be #2 dm for me. absolutely perfect transition from the more raw/thrash groove oriented suffo to the more technical, whackier dm side. the purist in me wants to like effigy more....best dm album from a rhythmic perspective, underwater production is magnificent...



but this one. idk second half of effigy as good as it is is a bit weaker to the first half, whereas on here...it never dips in songwriting quality imo. this is def a more polished/wankier/techier sound so I get why so many purists prefer effigy but idk man they were just as if not more brilliant at just writing songs on this one.
