Why is it that every guy ive seen wearing a suffocation shirt at my uni (approx. 3) happened to be obese, pimply, have hair down to their ass and wear black skate shoes/converse. I hate to sound like a judgmental cunt but talk about reinforcing the stereotype.

there are bands dedicated to simply ripping off just the style in the INTRO of brood of hatred. deathcore bands that base their entire careers on ripping off that one riff approach and not one of them do it with the finesse or enjoyable complexity of suffocation

^ not to mention those ripoffs rarely digress from that style, while Brood continues to bash you with insanely technical thrash riffs and leads you into a beautifully evil melodic interlude. these guys are fuckin GODS

Actually im Aussie, and we like to think we are the polar opposite of the US in every regard, altho we still have quite a few obese wadling around. Yeah i was just in Europe and I noticed that in the Scandinavian countries especially, metal is far more accepted i guess and its not uncommon to see all types of guys and girls wearing metal band shirts. It was a welcome change.
