This band is amazing and has inspired me to get this far in music
my band Acsend the Sky just got signed to A skylit drives old record lable (fallen hero)
These guys are our biggest and ONLY influence
Clearly none of you know good music when you hear it.
Underoath Wishes they were anywhere near as good as oceana
Keith's scream vocals are amazing.
This review is terriable and Is incorrect about almost all the cons.
They sound NOTHING like underoath at all.
Please Lear somthing about music before you Bash on somthing you clearly know nothing about.
Thanks
Add my band Myspace.com/ascendtheskyfl

I listen to this album tons and never get tired of it. The clean vox are overproduced, and too many breakdowns, but this is a great album.

At first I felt like giving it a 2.5 but this album grew on me and I actually enjoy most of the songs

best album of all time, I seriously can never get enough of it even two years later.
The whole ambient atmosphere given off by the instrumental side and then Kieth's and James' vocals makes this album almost surreal.
The Tide and Mindless: Mindless are my two favorite songs of all time (:
|
| |
i love the vocals on this album but the only thing that stops it from being a 4 or above is the over-usagae of breakdowns.

As a whole, this CD isn't all that great. But, I fucking love The Accountable, Mindless: Mindless, and The Tide. Those songs are really fucking amazing for their underoath + breakdowns sound on this CD.

To Me I Think This Album is The Best Of All The Other Oceana
Kieth Jones Screaming Is Epic, And James Singing Is Amazing.
This Album Never Gets Old Not, I Still Think This Album Is Still
My Top Favorite Hardcore Band Of All Time

If they keep up with that jangly shit then to hell with this band.
|

Yeah that album is good but what came after was the worst thing ever

I used to jam Hello, Astronaut a lot when this came out.Still think the opening riff is pretty awesome.

Maybe I'm crazy because I really enjoy this album... Shoot, the instrumentals alone were good enough to give the album a 3.5.. Throw in the clean vocals and I give it a 4! I'd go far enough to say that this is their best material. After this, they just weren't the same.

If there ever was a guilty pleasure album, this is it. I fucking love this album.
Mindless: Mindless is mint as hell.

Doesn't have to be a guilty pleasure. I fucking love this album and I'll admit it to anyone! I don't
care how many people on this site disagree with me, The Tide is Oceana at their best. After this they
were alright, but those beautiful instrumentals will be sorely missed
And as for mindless mindless when the part thats like "I'm staring at the cracks and all the lines
you wrote to get me home." starts, I jizz my pants. Every. Fucking. Time. Easily my second favorite
off the album.. behind the tide that is
