one of my more poseur metal takes is that ive never really been able to get into this band.
like theyre great, dont get me wrong. i can appreciate them for all things they do and how idiosyncratic of a sound they have, but none of their records have really ever "gripped" me like a lot of my other favorite music does.

I honestly feel like Coroner manage to do the disso-thrash thing in a less obtuse, more fluid way than Voivod? With slightly more bitchin’ guitar playing maybe? At least, that’s been my gut feeling for the past month. May change. Both are absolutely classic bands, but I think Coroner may eke out over Voivod for me. The thing about Coroner is that I really appreciate the more aggressive, cutthroat vocal delivery.
