That's a beautiful 5.0.

Everyone should follow this guy's example.

Just saying. 🤓

I have no one but user meatsalad to thank for this lovely recommendation all those years ago. it will forever remain the essential album of my late teens.

Album's the whole package: catchy, while still staying experimental. Great vox. Great guitar. Has a concept going throughout. Zombies.

This sea of 4.0s (while nice) doesn't do it justice.

Junkanoo festivals look rad. Loud and obnoxious.

People call all sorts of things "unique", but this is one of the only ones where that's 100% true.

Sucks cause the only place to hear anything similar is at a festival.

Like the one Ghandhi JUST linked right as I was typing this.

I've been to a couple of these sorts of cultural street parades (not junkanoo though), but yeah great music, lots of food and happy people. It's a blast.

Except for the (sometimes) sober cops, but they're usually alright too.

I've watched a few New Orleans Mardi Gras vids/vlogs before. Looks like a blast.

I just want one more album like this.

I'd do it myself, but I suck at every instrument I've ever tried and my neighbors would call the cops on me.

Getting to the point where I'm just gonna 5.0 Exuma II out of desperation.

Why would you want another album like this? It would make it less special. Especially if you did it.

I was operating on the thinking that my go at it would be so bad and would steal from this so egregiously, people would appreciate this one all the more. 4.4 average on this the week after, guaranteed.

Ideally, some random dude on bandcamp has already done it and I just need to find it.

It's out there, it's gotta be...

They got the energy and the instrumentation (sort of), but not that trademarked weirdness.

Maybe gran, but that's a stretch.

Joseph Spence is a pretty close approximation as far as vocals go (they're both from the Bahamas). Found him through the AllMusic review for this actually. He's more blues than folk, but still pretty awesome.

All we gotta do is duct tape them together in Audacity somehow, have me spout some stuff about the rapture and the undead over top of them, and we'll be golden.
