As long as they have long dark hair, I'm always good to go.

Pretty good review, but I definitely don't agree with the rating. I used to hate this band until I decided I would give this album a go, and now they are one of my favorites (Review coming up soon). While Rody's singing is quite different, he is definitely talented and he grew on me much like Warrel Dane of Nevermore, which was another band I once absolutely despised. The instrumentation from these guys is also quite astounding and it all seems to fit the songs quite well.

Protest the Hero are one of the few bands in any genre of music with a name that ends with '-core' that I like. Review brings the lulz

What, prog-core? hardcore? They're definitely not metalcore. Basically metal with punk, hardcore and progressive influences.

Who hacked her into bloodmeat

I had this at a 4.5 until the last several songs got a little boring, unlike Kezia where the best act is the third.

not a good review. some very dumb things said. reviewer has minimal, if any ability to talk about/rate music.

. . . because your degree of musical knowledge is so high that you are the authority on peoples' ability to talk about music . . . right.

i really don't get how you can make such an incredibly pompous statement just because the reviewer doesn't have the same view on the album as you, and critiqued the album (albeit harshly) with a different palette of musical tastes.
