Yeah, Rush really made the 80's work for them too. Hence 'pretty much'.

And let's not forget Marillion, though they didn't start until that actual decade.

Personally, I love the live version from "Fridays" even more.

except Rush yeah and maybe Marillion. You also got the prolific Peter Hammill even if he is more like an artist than a band.

Edit; not ''except'' Rush and Marillion, but along with Rush and Marillion.

Don't know whether or not you noticed my last comment on the previous page Jethro, but regardless we seem to be of the same mind on that.

Yes I did read your comment on the previous page. I tried hard to add some bands to yours (Peter Hammill, Peter Gabriel and Frank Zappa came to my mind), but it seems you mentioned the essential bands.

Alright, I guessed so but it could have been a coincidence that you also thought of Marillion. Indeed Peter Gabriel made some excellent stuff on his own, 'Melt' and So (though that is more of a pop album) in particular are fantastic. I have actually never bothered with Zappa, somehow I have the feeling I wouldn't dig it too much.

Might end up 4.5'ing this. I'm digging 80's Floyd alot more after watching the Live In Frejust show, that shit is incredible
