I really like the Earth side. It's very calming and just hits home for me. I haven't really given Air a chance though, but I've heard it's better.

Thrice pretty much is in my top two bands. I think air doesn't stay with the same theme as much as water but that is because there is so much more mystery in the sky. When you look up you wonder "what's out there?" the sky never ends so there's more room for interpretation (I think I spelled that wrong) of the sky musically.

Hadn't listened to either Alchemy Indexes for quite some time, but I listened to each of them back to back today. Had to up my rating of this one, much better than I remember, and I think as a whole I prefer this to Volumes I and II.



Air > Fire >> Water ≥ Earth.



My only problem with Earth is that it doesn't have any major standout tracks imo. It's solid, but doesn't have anything truly amazing. Air has three of the 5 best songs out of the whole Alchemy Indexes imo: Milly Michaelson (best song out of each index) Daedalus and Broken Lungs. Fire had Firebreather and Backdraft...and Water had Night Diving. There is no track on earth that can match up to any of those songs imo.
