It's strange to me that fans of a genre known for its corniness, grandiosity and general lack of self-consciousness (I say this with love; power metal is my favorite genre) would make fun of a song for its alleged 'maturity.' And really, the complaints about What Kind of Love hold no water. If you don't like the song, that's perfectly alright, but there's nothing particularly 'Disney' about it, except in the very broad sense that it is a song sung by people, and Disney also has songs sung by people. It's just a pointless attempt to take credibility away from the song.
I love The Scarecrow, personally. Particularly the title track, but I'm a fan the whole way through. I guess a lot of people are turned off by it (which, at this point, is kinda weird), but I enjoy Tobias' range in sound, atmosphere, mood, speed, etc. that happen throughout the Avantasia albums. Too much of a good thing isn't necessarily a good thing, and he delivers the goods when it counts.

Was watching a live concert on YT and Tobi introduced Lost in Space with: "Anyways, here's some real, true, gay power metal"
Tobi is fucking mint. Knows what he's about.
