That 3rd paragraph sums up exactly how I felt when I got this album. After about 3 listens I started to really get into it, by the 5th I was getting bored. It's the first opeth album where I skip certain tracks when I listen to it. Not a bad album, but disappointing

Great review man. I TOTALLY agree with your thoughts on Hex Omega. I really didn't like that track, it starts great for 45 seconds, then just...falls of the edge, nothing exciting, and to end the whole album with it is kinda wrong. They should've ended it with Hessian Peel. Anyways good job once again, pos'd.

When you said that Opeth said that Watershed was heavier and darker. They were probably talking about an emotional stand point of view from the lyrics.

All in all it was agood review, I just don't agree with it.

I used to be good personal friends with the author of this review. Been years since I have seen him.
