Sonny is terrific but there's a lot of filler

The album loses some of its steam after The End of Nothing, but everything up to that point is so great any mediocrity is negligible.
Yeah there are tons of great lines here. The lyrics in the choruses of Alvarez and Streetcar were always some that stuck with me.

I definitely enjoy them too. To me, they just never quite matched the greatness of the tracks that precede them.

How is Streetcar not a standout track?! That riff in the chorus defined my sophomore year of high school.

^Oh absolutely, that two hand tapped part during the chorus and the bass in the bridge were so huge to me.

Saw them play this and Casualties in full. Both nights were a massive nostalgia trip

Don't hold me to everything in this review guys... I wrote it a very long time ago.

Man, I would've killed to have seen them play this live. They didn't make it over the states nearly enough. I did get to see them when they were on they Hours touring cycle. They played the Final Hours at Hammersmith setlist minus Rookie of the Year and All the Rage.

I always dug that line myself. So many good ones on this record. I always loved the lyrics in Streetcar's chorus too.

Their best record.

Davey your funeral for a friend reviews make me sad and the fact that they are all now the tagged review and took away the attention to the old conversations from older reviews. That's not even getting into the fact you reviewed Tales as a 4, higher than the other albums. I'm beside myself right now.

AND THE STARS WILL BE YOUR NIGHTLIGHTS TONIGHT AND
I WILL BE YOUR LULLABYE
This album resides firmly in my top 20 of all time, and is the one and only album in the genre that I can stand.
The riffs in recovery are instant boners.
