I think you might be in the minority on that one Rowan. But I'm giving it a go soon either way.

Personally I prefer their more emotional Conduit-esque style which actually sounds like they're doing what they want to do as opposed to enjoyable but totally plastic albums like Welcome Home Armageddon, I am definitely in the minority

I'm more in the minority than you though Rowan... I think 'TDTT' is their best! :-0

Holy crap! I actually think it's their second best after Casually Dressed! No idea what everyone has against that album and M&H, both are tops

It's mainstream sounding, so it must be bad.

It's their most mature and cohesive album as a whole even it it's not musically their most interesting

Check out my (first) review of Chapter & Verse Davey. It really disappointed me. I have Tales at a 4 btw.

Will do, when I get around to listening to the album. Man, 'Tales' must be ageing well or something. Or maybe it's just us 3 with good taste.

It's good for what it is and has its very own charme. Nevertheless, Hours is a 5 for me. Not perfect, but classic for sure.

So much nostalgia for this... it's unreal

Tons of nostalgia. I remember seeing these guys live in a tiny venue in seattle when they were supporting this album. It was my favorite record at the time and they killed it. It's always cool when you can be a matter of inches away from your favorite band at a show.

Relistening right now to be sure my rating is correct. Conclusion: Favourite album of all time.
"I never listened to a word you never said" is such a brilliant line. This album is full of those.

Hmm, the first of half of this is terrific but I don't really care for the last three songs.
This album soars though.
