wow, I was totally underrating this. I haven't listened to this for about half a year and I thought I'd give her a spin for old times sake. She's no Leviathan, but it kicks an a**load of A**.

I still need to get this, but it'd probably make more since if I got Leviathan first :/

Remission > Leviathan = Crack the Skye > Blood Mountain, in my humble opinion of course.

I know it is cool to hate on Mastodon these days, but I remember seeing them at the old Bottom Lounge in Chicago right before Leviathan came out and they ripped my face off. I busted this album out today and it still kicks ass. As I do love their latter material too, I would like to see them bust out another crushing heavy album. Love the riffs and Brann's drumming.
