Speaking of Rush, just listened to Working Man for the 150th time and it blew my socks off.

comparing STP to Rush is laughable, seriously

enjoyed Core and Purple in the early to late 90's much more than I do now, some great songs for sure on those 2

'I don't believe Rush fans should be persecuted for their orientation, I believe they're born that way - being Rush isn't something you can choose'

and believe it or not, I believe that this statement has some validity to it

"comparing STP to Rush"

Why are we doing this and can we compare Can to Alice in Chains next?

no one's comparing their sound

people are just saying which one they prefer

it's not the same really

@Log: No.4 is an incredible album and I honestly think it's their best (although I'm probably the only one on sput with that opinion). You can't go wrong with Purple, Core or Nr.4 so you def can look forward to a great listening experience :]

I wish they'd made that album they were apparently starting on after Shangri-La-di-da cos I'd probably get that one soon

I love "All in the Suit that You Wear" which I imagine woulda been the lead single from it or whatev, instead of just "that one new track" on Thank You

btw

"I havent heard much of the album but i have heard most of it so im gonna rate it 4/5 cause from what ive heard from it (and im a big STP fan), this album is very underrated and this album kicks ass with its excellent guitaring and sometimes vocal wise. Not as good as the others ive reviewed but it is still a strong effort and it is a platinum album."

this is the dumbest thing I've read on this site

Listened to this album again yesterday, still can't stand it. "Trippin" still jams on a nostalgia level, but otherwise this is utter trash.

I'll whisper it quietly: this is hands down their best record

not by a long margin because there's Purple lurking right behind it, though
