This album was done better by Keepsake in 1998, Grade in 2001, Funeral For a Friend in 2003, and by both Dead Poetic and Emery in the same year.

All thise bands actually mixed Metallic, Emo, and Post-Hardcore while still mainting true to their roots. Eslecially for Grade and Keepsake. This album just threw it all into the mainstream and inspired a million bad copies and was the most commercial and inconsistent Underoath release until Erase Me came around. The album is nothing but a clean Grade rip-off done better than most clean Grade rip-offs.

I just feel that New Medicines was more melodic hardcore infused and this is more pop punk infused.

My struggles with this album confuse even me. for all intents and purposes Aaron Gillespie should be in my list of favorite singers, but sometimes he gets more grating than all the ones I listed to me. especially on this album.
