Ive just been tagging dissodeath stuff in my catalog as progressive death metal. Not to be confused with bands who are death metal/progressive metal like say, Opeth. Been debating switching the tag out for dissonant death metal for months now tho tbh

"dissonant death metal" feels like a misnomer...we don't exactly call anything "modal death metal"

honestly prefer skronk...let the onomatopoeia reign

skronk is a very special kind of discordance though and i feel i mostly only ever hear it in metal or jazz
