Stevo was pretty unhinged on this thing. On Open Your Eyes and Bitter End especially.
This really was a special album and even now with Brownsound back they haven't quite recaptured the magic of it.

sowing are you telling me the new one is better than this because I don't believe you

re-evaluated and bumped this
my ratings for this band across the board were way too low for how much i enjoy them
might be their second catchiest album
also this particular approach to a pop/punk/metal hybrid is pretty unique and i'd like to hear more albums in the same niche that don't have an iota of -core

Yeah, for me this is their classic (or borderline). AKNF and DTLI are both great but this is the one I have all the fond memories of.

Disagree quite a bit on your review of the new one but definitely agree about this. It's a really awesome album. They really are at their best when they go heavier.

I think the softer cuts on this album deserve some love too, Pieces in particular is probably my favourite Sum 41 song

The soft songs aren't bad but they're definitely not what I'm here for haha. We're All to Blame is a great blend of both though.

The first page of comments on this review with a few grumps arguing that Sum 41 ripped off Metallica is very funny.

they were coping with the fact Metallica was making the worst music of their career at that point
