NIN>>>>>Mudvayne
i beg to differ, only in the style of music. mudvayne is better than most at their genre, but NIN is not the best industrial band out there IMO. that would go to mushroomhead

Mudvayne is a god Group but they are not that solid in what they do. I bet there are bands way better. I'd give mudvayne like a 2.5 cause I only like 2 songs by them.
NIN is a very good solid Industrial band They are one of the best. Not many bands i like more than them.
Except for hurt Trent sounds whiny in it I like Johnny Cash's version of Hurt.

I bought this when it came out. Definitely took some warming up to. But after a while I realized it was pretty good; a few really impressive tracks on it, especially the finale. I'm no expert but I really think that Still was a definite step to get fans adjusted for this album.

I did really enjoy this album, but many of the songs have nothing really special about them. All the tracks from Only to the end are great though.

Uninspired, derivative, soft, and so bland.

Give me a synth and I'll crank out twenty albums a week of better quality than this.

Spare me. Maybe sobriety wasn't such a good idea Trent.

When I listened to this album, it was the first I had I heard from NIN. A few of the songs (Why Do You Get All the Love, Every Day is Exactly the Same, Right Where it Belongs) caught me right away. After a couple times of listening to the other songs occasionally, the album grew on me. It has now become my second favorite album of all time and has been the inspiration for my own music to start in a more industrial metal direction. I would definitely give it a 5/5.

i personally prefer this album to the downward spiral ( which is great too) as it has a fuller sound not as harsh synth wise

Took me a while to really get into this, but recently I've been on an NIN spree between this and TDS. Still need to get the obscenely priced Fragile, though.

Go over there away from the keyboard.

So what's it like being unsociably pretentious?

This isn't the best NIN album by any means. But it's still better than 98% of everything that came out in 2005.

I've just started getting into NIN and I don't mind this album at all. Kind of poppy and really catchy, but fresh sounding (to me at least). Great alternative to lots of the metal I've been listening to when it feels kind of samey.

I don't know what to think of this album. Some the lyrics are pretty lolworthy, but it really does have some good tracks. maybe in the 3-3.5 range.
