This album is so full of angst and hatred. 'Bored' and 'Nosebleed' are so raw and 'filthy' that deftones has rarely made anything like those songs ever since.

Still listen to this album almost everyday. Just gets me ready for my day and pumps me up. Nosebleed is amazing, the build up is great and I wish Deftones tries to do something similar to this one day. 7 words, man this song has so much feel to it, I can feel Chino's aggression and anger through my headphones every time I listen. Engine No 9 makes me want to get up and jump around, just an awesome song. Then tracks like Birthmark and Root are just awesome, and sound even better live. Amazing album by an amazing band.

The production on this album sucks, but Ive always loved the songs. I think it's mainly the EQ on the guitar that has bothered me. Still, I love the rawness of this album. I also love the fact that Steph plays the entire thing in standard E tuning which was very rare for a Nu-Metal band back then. He didnt start playing songs in drop tunings until ATF.

Not my favorite album of deftones, but it has some solid songs like 7 words. Chino is pretty badass in that track.
