^^ thats debateable. I think their anthem (off this album) is Deer Dance or Prison Song. Or it might just be me.

This CD came across very political to me, listening to Prison Song it gives all of these statments such as "nearly 2 million americans are incarcerated in the prison system, prison system of the U.S." and "the percentage of americans in the prison system, prison system has doubled since 1985."
But honestly it is the best CD I have listened to since I got it, I've yet to put it down, if they can come up with a new CD other than Mezmerize and Hypnotize (which were also good) that can top this then ill refuse to put it down

Thats the main idea of SOAD, to be political.

this is not music, it is worthless crap.

Well, I always thought the anthem to be the big one. You know, the one everyone screams to turn up at the party. The one everyone knows and Identifies the band with. Which for me is Chop Suey. Then again, the two you mentioned kinda do the same thing.
But this one does it more!
this is not music, it is worthless crap.
Go away.

A++ review.
I'm a long-time System fan and Toxicity is definitely their most influential album.
SOAD Rules but I dont think that by looking at the direction they are going in now with Hypnotize and Mesmerize that they will ever come close to touching this Masterpiece of an album ever again.
I agree. They seem to really be reaching for new political agendas to strike at and the well is running dry. RATM couldn't last forever and I'm afraid SOAD won't turn out much different.

Excellent review. In the midst of malignant musical mediocrity came Toxicity. While listening to talented bands like Muse and Queens of the Stone Age, I stumbled across this album and it slapped me in the face several times, spun me around and flung me in a ditch! And I went back for more. Serj's awesome pounding lyrics left me breathless and his vocal chords left my spine tingling. Shimmy and Bounce are fast and raw. Chop Suey is perfection itself and Atwa shows the more moving side of the band. One of the few albums which i listen to without skipping tracks. Awesome!!! By the way Clumpy, totally agree with you regards to Needles. 'My tapeworm tells me what to do' is the best line of the song, and possibly the album. This Message Edited On 02.20.06
