I always thought it was a representation of what someone with anorexia ‘sees’ in the mirror.
With that comes the fragility, themes of repugnant beauty and what have you that the album covers ten fold.

I think it'd only be attainable through deluxe reissues. Ironically, the OG CDs with the US mix were only sold in Canada. Iirc the cancellation of the US release coincided with cancellation of what would've been their first US tour due to Richey's disappearance
