The Crossing is also better than As Fire Swept Clean the Earth lol
album is a bit too scattershot and therefore inconsistent compared to their previous records i rated a 4.0. it doesn't have as many standout moments and solid jams. Dead Stare is definitely a top 10 enslaved song for me now though.

revisiting, damn i love this so special band.

My favorite is "The Crossing", always like this strange beast. Still goosebumps after 14 years of dig on/off & "Havenless", close by.

You know what Flug, it is highly probable. A lot of Enslaved work are very unconventional & complex in musical nature, with a lot of growing potential, partly, because of these unconventional structures.

As Fire Swept Clean the Earth awesome way to start the album, catchy, unique, dark and also beautiful, crazy feeling in that song. Not sure what that sound is they use in the song the ''swirly'' sound but it sounds otherwordly
