haven't jammed them in a while but i'd say top 5, in this order would be vikingligr, this, below the lights, eld, axioma. after that it gets really hard to rank

Some bands have been around for so long that each album comes with diminishing returns. I wonder if this is true for Enslaved as I've listened to two albums (debut and Axioma) that I've really enjoyed, and one that I didn't really care for

Axioma's a later album though, they'd been around plenty by then. Plus they had a transitional period between their early more traditional BM/viking stuff & their more progressive era that doesn't seem as generally well received (on Sput, anyway).

vocal style reminiscent of earlier Abbath, lotsa similar quick picking, guitar tone even sounds similar imo.
