Dillinger blows. I understand why so many like them, but I can't stand the genre they play. It's ashame because they're great musicians.
I should revise this review. I don't mind the content, but my overall rating was too high. I think this wore off and became boring as much as every other metalcore band. They're still better than most though. This Message Edited On 10.19.05

Dillinger are not just noise... you have to be really into that genre to really get anything out of it. Their jazz influences are incredible and they are the heaviest band that I know in terms of that I could get so angry I could kill a relative. AND they tune to standard. What more could you ask for? As for Bleeding Through, the guitar work is excellent and at times mind-blowing. The bass playing is solid even if it isn't mental and the vocals are guttural and melodic w/o being generic. It's just a shame that the songs are not of all the same quality.

Personally, I like Bleeding Through, but they do have songs that sound alike. On Wings Of Lead And Love Lost In A Hail Of Gunfire are easily the two best songs from this album. And on the note of the dillinger escape plan...I also really like them but I prefer Between The Buried And Me. anyone else agree?

The album is alright.
Hands down, REVENGE I SEEK takes the whole album.
agressive lyrics, agressive riffs. and yes.
agressive drumming.

this deserves a higher rating, obviously you aren't into this genre of music.

Being someone who can appreciate the genre for what its worth, I can say that this CD is crap, and I want my 14 bucks back. The guitars sound awful, and its not just the downtuning, their tone is just abysmal, I'm not sure if they even know what all the little knobs on their amps do. The keyboards might as well not even be there, and the only 2 songs worth listening to are the ones everybody above me mentions. 2 bucks on iTunes > buying this CD, easy decision.

I have a couple friends who are really into Metalcore stuff like this.. They hate any music that doesn't have those brutal "breakdowns" 200 times in every song.
I had a listen to some of it and found it repulsive, and not because of how heavy it is.
