Its not quite as stunning or indeed disturbing as the first two portishead albums in my opinion, but this is definitely one i will be listening to again and again.

started listening to this just as I'd finished one of my portuguese audio lessons so I heard the intro to Silence and thought "hang on, I recognise this"

I saw Portishead play a year ago and they touched my soul..
this album is brilliant!!! just the gear/instruments used to make this album are impressive...BUT WHO CARES! the music speaks for itself
the saxaphone solo in Magic doors gives me goose bumps every time... yewwwwwwwwwww
my little brother saw Radiohead play two weeks ago and the portishead drummer came out to play a song with them... what a legend!

The drum sound that comes in at 2:40 on Machine Gun is perhaps the most boner-inducing thing I have ever heard

I think the rip has the best vocal lines Beth ever gave birth to.

This sounds almost like a live recording especially on vinyl. Been enjoying it a lot more lately.
