sorry, but imo things like these make you sound like an internet nerd, and kind of immature tbh. Coke used the phrase "death metal win" in his arghoslent review and it produces the same effect.

I used it in a summary you fucking cocksmoker. Stop trying to act like there's some unwritten standard we have to uphold on this site. Let the guy have fun with a summary, they're just to get people's attention anyways.

Also, when I saw these guys live for the first time it was solid. I guess. Their drummer made stupid faces and that was entertaining. Second time I saw them they were absolutely awful. The poorly worded rants between songs didnt help either. This Message Edited On 04.01.08

its my opinion ball wrangler, and you probably didn't bother to read the comment i left right after that because you were too busy trying to find yet another excuse to be an internet toughguy.

granted it has only been two days, I'm surprised I'm the only one who listened to this album enough to vote for it.

They ripped off a band From Ashes Rise who broke up years ago. Check for yourself.

Listen to "Reactions"

http://www.myspace.com/fromashesrise

Then listen to Anti-Flag "Spit In The Face"

http://www.myspace.com/antiflag

It's the same song.

For live acts involving stupid faces and political rants, Saul Williams surely > these guys.

You should try catching a Billy Bragg live show. He rants about the bestestness of the Left more than he sings actual songs.

Good review dude. I was pretty disapointed with this album as well, especially after For Blood and Empire was so good. The band is awesome live though. I could do without all talk in between songs but none the less they put on a good show.

It might not be mandated, but that doesn't mean everyone has to like it. Oh well. Your choice of course.

I loved this release, and I'm an old school anti-flag fan too. Besides the first 2 tracks I was very impressed with the direction of the musicianship and the lyrics. Great album imo. I'd also suggest in future, that you try to not make it blatantly obvious you hate the band anyway. Furthermore, when making such strong claims of shitty lyrics, poor songs, please post some evidence for doing so, because saying "anti-flag's lyrics are shitty" without even quoting any shows that your review failed. This Message Edited On 04.07.08

Okay first off, I dislike their motives and blatant disregard of what they stand for, I never said I hate Anti-Flag in any point in the review, because I don't.

I'm guessing you missed my second paragraph where I showed the lyrics of the chorus of "The Bright Lights of America," but still it would be repetitive to point out every shitty lyric that I hear throughout the album. I'm sorry that 'we all have our vices, we all our thoughts, we all have our anger, we all have our love' needs to be pointed out as yet another crappy line.

The reviewer did an excellent job in his critique of this album.

Anti-flag have for years have spouted out the mouth what an awful country the US is blah blah blah. Same old shit.

They flew on a private jet on their last tour.

Anti-Flag are Anti-capitalist?My ass

Was it to another country? I mean if it was I know where you are coming from. After all it would cheaper and more eco-friendly to use a sailboat to get across the Atlantic.

i like how they developed more musically, the bass lines sounded a lot better and they sounded like they took some guitar lessons lol.
I don't necessarily agree that Anti-Flag needs to stop making "f@%k America" songs but they definitely need to make better lyrics, the way they sing them sounds good but not what they're saying if that makes any sense. defiantly watered the lyrics down on this album.
"Go West" "Good and Ready" "Smartest Bomb" and "The ink and the quill" were probably the best songs. Though try listening to the bonus track without hurting yourself, trust me its' impossible.
