This isn't tech death. Cryptopsy's technical era began on Whisper, this is pretty straightforward DM on bass and guitar

he's right not enough guitar weebz and sweepz thus not tech duhhh
|
| |
Um there are sweeps here, clown. Tell me you've never picked a guitar up without saying you've never picked a guitar up...
|
| |
By that logic, Bullet for my Valentine are a tech band given they sweep... or Trivium

I was referring to the discussion on the previous page of the thread.. Yeah, I wouldn't call it Tech Death neither, even thou this certainly isn't Six Feet Under or Pungent Stench...

Ah my bad man! Yeah it's definitely got a bit more about it than SFU but guitars and bass here are relatively easy, drumming i can't speak for though

This brought me to an interesting question: Which are the least technical DM bands?
First thoughts are:
Six Feet Under
Pungent Stench
Fleshrot
Runemagick
Rippikoulu
Funebre
Grave
Which bands would you add to that list?

I imagine slower / mid-paced doomy old school shit like Gorement isn't particularly technical but idk. Gorement slap btw.

yeah, except SFU I dig every band on that list I made. Primitive Death Metal can rule hard!
|

Early Vader are easy, basically just Slayer with blast beats. Six Feet Under have a couple of SLIGHTLY more intricate riffs but only very rarely. Maybe Swan Song era Carcass too, Thy Art Is Murder also

Ah yeah I keep on forgetting that Death n' Roll even existed, probably every Death n Roll album ever made would fit here.
I would say Slayer are quite a technical band regarding both, drumming and guitars. As I agree that Vader sounded quite alike in their early days, I wouldn't say they are extremely untechnical.
