even worse than Anders Friden of In Flames (who I think is one of the worst vocalists in metal, period). This whole review could have sucked (it didn't) and I still would have pos-voted just because of this line... it's so damn true. As for Metalcore, the only band that holds my interest is All that Remains, and only their latest album and only from track 6 til the end of the album.

Yeah, metalcore is like that for me too, only a very very select amount appeals to me. The majority of it is piss-poor.

The only metalcore I like is Converge and some Solid State Bands (new Underoath, some Norma Jean, some Demon Hunter).

I like breakdowns as long as they're in moderation and not really generic. I also don't care if a band is scene - if the music is good I like it.

I like breakdowns when they're not the only thing going on in the album... Hatebreed is good at them, and Bury Your Dead was awesome (I only saw them live, never heard an album)... so you can't make such a generalization, especially since a ton of people here thrive on breakdowns... maybe they just don't review
