"What you do have is a 72 minute piece of music that is dreary, dark, heavy, and literally never-ending."
...right after this part^
or you could somehow work it into the ending...maybe leave the review on a less depressing note...i dunno.
hope some of this helps.
also, i don't know if I said this, but this is a great review.

oh wait...nevermind...i like what you did.

I meant at the end of that paragraph, but I can see it fitting into where you said as well. I've changed it, and put it onto the end of the fourth paragraph. Tell me what you think and if it doesn't mess up the flow.
And cheers mate, it's appreciated.
EDIT: sweet, thanks a lot for that. This Message Edited On 04.13.08

I also made some major changes to the seventh paragraph, filling in some details behind the concept and story of the album. I put in a short section found in the booklet as well, which relates to the story.

Fine. Since no one has said it yet.....
*low voice*
DOooooooooooooooooooom. That is all.

:D You should give this a listen Jacktiger. Even if you don't like funeral doom, do it because you love me so much.

Yeah, I think the little extra information regarding the concept makes it better.

I tried to find this yesterday because of your review, but they only had "Last CD Before Doomsday" so I still haven't heard them...

Last CD Before Doomsday is also really good (pushing a personal 5 for me atm), but Dooom is ridiculously good. You can order Dooom (or Last CD...) online from the label if you wish, but it's 15 Euro not inc. shipping, so a little expensive.
Here's the link if you want to take a look:

(I cut it in half because it was so long).

Really? Well maybe I'll go back and get that one and if I like it I'll look into paying import prices for this one.

Last CD is a lot more rawer, making it possibly more emotive. The production isn't as good, but it's by no means bad. Dooom on the othrehand is very well made, and is a lot more polished. Depends what you're after really, they're both similar in sound obviously (being the same band). Last CD was the album that got me into funeral doom, but Dooom really struck me as perfect almost immediately after I listened to it.
I'd honestly suggest you try and listen to some of both albums before you buy it, I don't want to recommend it and then have you not like it.

| |
To be honest, I'm not really into most albums with "raw" productions, so maybe I will track down some songs before I make any purchases... thanks.
|
| |
No worries. I believe they have a song from Dooom on their myspace, and you'd be able to find some others elsewhere.

^this is a pretty good album... but i think slow transcending agony by ataraxie is a far superior doom album.

I'm glad you like it, I value your opinion on music.

haha well I think both are awesome, but Dooom is just more cohesive as an album imo. Slow Transcending Agony totally owns still.
